VBSV to Host First Swim Teams for Upcoming Training Season

Beginning this weekend, Vero Beach Sports Village (VBSV) will host its first two swim teams of the season, University of Akron (OH) and Mount Pearl Marlins (Canada). The teams will stay on-site at the VBSV complex and will travel to the nearby North County Aquatics Center for practices and training in Sebastian (Fla.)

While the teams stay at VBSV, they will be conducting dry land training prior to their swim training and practices and will eat, sleep and take advantage of the recreation facilities available to them on the VBSV grounds.

VBSV is scheduled to host two additional swim teams in the month of January. Canisius College (NY) will return for the third consecutive year on January 3, and Bryn Mawr College (PA) will arrive on January 11.

The North County Aquatics Center is a public pool complex that is open year round. It features a heated, competition sized pool with a diving well and changing facilities. The pool has up to 24 lanes for lap swimming at 25 yards and the diving area includes one and three meter diving boards.
